News 5 takes part in Healing Hands' 15th 'Sweet for the Sweet' campaign
BRISTOL, Tenn. (WCYB) — This Valentine's Day, News 5 joined other volunteers on the cupcake patrol.
This is part of Healing Hands Health Center's 15th Sweets for the Sweet campaign. It is one of the biggest fundraisers for the low-cost medical and dental clinic.
Supporters paid $50 to have a Blackbird Bakery cupcake delivered to a friend or loved one.
Healing Hands volunteers delivered 900 cupcakes over the last two days.
This year's campaign raised nearly $36,000 and you can still donate if you'd like to help the organization reach its $40,000 goal.
